Welcome to the Bank of Finland Museum!

The Bank of Finland Museum presents the history of money and central banking activities right in the heart of Helsinki, in the foundations of the Lutheran cathedral and just a stone’s throw from the Bank of Finland itself. In addition to the permanent exhibition, approximately once a year there is also a special exhibition on a variable topic.

The Museum is designed to appeal to all who have an interest in the economy and society.

You can visit the Museum independently during its opening hours. The Museum is open Tuesdays to Fridays 11:00 – 17:00 and Saturdays and Sundays 11:00 – 16:00. On Mondays the Museum is closed.

The Bank of Finland Museum is closed owing to the coronavirus pandemic until 31 August 2020. All public events and seminars are cancelled. As regards guided tours please enquire in the end of August.
