Welcome to the Bank of Finland Museum!

The Bank of Finland Museum presents the history of money and central banking activities right in the heart of Helsinki, in the foundations of the Lutheran cathedral and just a stone’s throw from the Bank of Finland itself.

The Museum is designed to appeal to all who have an interest in the economy and society.

You can visit the Museum independently during its opening hours, or take a guided tour booked in advance. Tours are conducted in Finnish, Swedish or English, according to the needs of the group, and are free of charge.

You can request a suitable time for your group on the ’visit’ page. You are also warmly welcome to the Museum cafeteria and to browse the items on offer in our shop.

The museum is fully accessible and exhibition contents are in Finnish, Swedish and English.

In the spring and autumn, the Bank of Finland Museum organises public events open to everyone on financial topics of current interest. For further information about future and past public events, see our events calendar.

Entrance to the Bank of Finland Museum is always free of charge. Welcome!
