Welcome to the world of money and central banking! The Bank of Finland has opened a museum, where you can learn about the history of money in Finland and abroad. The Bank of Finland Museum offers this and a lot more. The main focus is on the operation of the Bank of Finland and the European System of Central Banks and monetary policy. The aim of the museum is to give a clear and easily understood presentation of these issues, which are often considered esoteric and cryptic. You can try your hand as a central banker by playing the monetary policy game. Or you can see how the prices of everyday goods have changed from the 1860s to present.
The museum has been designed with the most demanding customer – the Finnish high school student – in mind. Therefore, the museum is well suited for complementing the courses on the economy in high schools. Of course, everyone interested in money and the economy is welcome!

| The museum is situated at Snellmaninkatu 2, Helsinki. |
